Zeitdauerrechner
The detailed guide below is currently available in English.
How the duration is measured
The calculator reads both entries as 24-hour clock times and subtracts the start from the end. The result is shown as hours and minutes (1:45) plus a decimal reading (1.75 hours) for timesheets and billing. Total minutes are listed too, which is handy for parking meters, recipe timing, or any limit expressed strictly in minutes.
Spans that cross midnight
When the end time is not after the start time, the span is assumed to continue into the next day: 23:30 to 01:15 is one hour and forty-five minutes. If you instead want a plain subtraction that can be negative, swap the two entries and read the result sign accordingly.
Häufige Fragen
What happens when both times are equal?
A zero span is interpreted as a full 24 hours, the way a whole-day shift would be. If you meant to measure a moment rather than a duration, no calculation is needed.
Can I include a break in the middle?
Subtract it yourself, or use the time card calculator, which takes an unpaid break in minutes and returns the paid span for a single shift.
