The detailed guide below is currently available in English.

How the weekly total is built

For each day you fill in, the calculator measures the span from clock-in to clock-out and subtracts any unpaid break minutes you record for that day. Days are handled independently, so a doctor's appointment on Tuesday does not affect Friday. The weekly total is the sum of every completed day, shown both as hours and minutes (40:30) and as decimal hours (40.5), which is the format most payroll systems multiply by your hourly rate.

Overnight and split shifts

If a shift ends at or before the time it started, the calculator assumes it crossed midnight: a 22:00 to 06:00 entry counts as eight hours on the day it began. Leave a day completely blank to exclude it, but remember that each row needs both a clock-in and a clock-out — half-filled days are flagged so a typo cannot silently shrink your total.

Częste pytania

How do I record an unpaid lunch break?

Enter the total unpaid minutes for that day in its break box. If you clocked out for lunch instead, leave the break at zero and enter the two work periods as one combined span minus the lunch minutes, or split the day across two rows by adding the results yourself.

Does this calculator compute overtime?

It totals raw hours only; it does not apply daily or weekly overtime rules, which vary by employer, state, and contract. Compare your weekly total against your threshold (often 40 hours) to spot when overtime starts.

Can I use it for a night shift?

Yes. Enter the shift under its starting day and let the out time be earlier than the in time — the calculator rolls the end into the next day automatically, so 22:00 to 06:00 is eight hours.
