Basiscalculator
The detailed guide below is currently available in English.
The order the calculator follows
This tool evaluates one operation at a time, exactly as written: the first number is combined with the second using the operation you pick. Division deserves one caution — dividing by zero has no defined answer, so the calculator refuses the input instead of inventing a result. For long chains of operations with mixed precedence, work through them two numbers at a time or use the scientific calculator, which respects the full order of operations.
Veelgestelde vragen
Why does 0.1 + 0.2 show as 0.3 here?
Computers store decimals in binary, so raw arithmetic can leave specks like 0.30000000000000004. The calculator rounds to 10 decimal places and trims trailing zeros, which removes those artifacts for everyday numbers.
Can I use negative numbers?
Yes. Type a minus sign before a number, for example −8, and every operation handles it — including division, as long as the second number is not zero.
