Why normal calculators give up
Most software stores numbers in 64-bit floating point, which holds only about 15–17 significant digits before results quietly round. Ask a normal calculator for 123456789 × 987654321 and the true answer, 121,932,631,112,635,269, may come back as 1.2193263111263527e+17 — close, but not exact. This calculator uses arbitrary-precision integer arithmetic, which stores every digit you type and multiplies exactly, so financial figures, cryptography-size numbers, and homework answers all stay intact to the last digit.
자주 묻는 질문
Why no division?
Integer division of huge numbers is exact only when the division is even; otherwise the answer has infinite digits. Use the long division calculator for quotients with remainders, or divide factors you know are exact.
How large can the numbers be?
Inputs up to 5,000 digits each are accepted, which is far beyond any physical count. Extremely long multiplications may take a moment, but addition and subtraction stay instant at any size.
