Traditional vs. Roth in one table
Both IRA types shelter growth from annual taxes, so on identical contributions they reach the same balance. The difference is when the tax is paid. A traditional IRA deducts contributions today and taxes every withdrawal; a Roth pays tax today and never again. If your rate now is 24% and 22% later, deferring wins slightly; if the rates were reversed, the Roth would. Investing the traditional deduction each year (instead of spending it) closes much of the gap and is the fairer comparison.

Why show the same balance for both?
Because tax treatment does not change market returns. The interesting comparison is the after-tax outcome, which depends entirely on your tax rate now versus at withdrawal.
What about required minimum distributions?
Traditional IRAs must begin RMDs at age 73, forcing taxable withdrawals whether you need the money or not. Roth IRAs have no lifetime RMDs for the original owner, which is part of their estate-planning appeal.
